Cylance at Von Karman Towers
Irvine, California
Headquarter office of Cylance, a high-tech internet security firm, currently occupies several floors at a mid-rise office building at Irvine, California. The office is expanding which demands major renovation within several floors. As a part of a new expansion, major floor opening is being designed to allow secure inter-office access between the floors.
The structural system of the building consists of steel framing girders with metal deck and lightweight topping concrete. The structural scope includes disconnecting and modifying the existing main floor framing to allow the creation of a new opening that houses new vestibule and stairs. Also included are structural support services on various Tenant-Improvement items throughout the building.
NIC Consultants has been selected to provide structural engineering services for the project.
