South Region Elementary School#3
The new Elementary School and Early Education Center (EEC), is being constructed as a part of expansion under LAUSD. It provides 950 new seats with construction cost of about $90 million.
The school facility includes four separate buildings; Classroom, Library, Multi-Purpose room, and Food service (Kitchen). The classroom building is two-story steel frame structure over a subterranean concrete parking structure. Library and MPR are single-story steel frame buildings on grade. The campus includes a state-of-art Lunch shelter, among other miscellaneous structures. Mr. TJ Eimani, the managing principal of NIC Consultants, was the Structural Engineer of Record (SEoR) for Owen on this project.
